Every direct booking includes a flat Guest Protection Fee: a small platform fee paid by the guest at checkout, not from your revenue. It covers background screening and property damage insurance so you don't have to.

Yes, and they're refreshingly small, because we only make money when you do. Instead of a fat monthly bill, we take a host commission only on bookings we help you land: 2% on Free, 1% on Pro, and a custom rate on Agency. Founding Hosts lock in 1% for life. Guests pay a flat 2.5% service fee at checkout, so your all-in cost lands around 3.5 to 4.5% (versus ~15% on Airbnb). Separately, a Guest Protection Fee covers ID verification, background screening, and property damage coverage, paid by the guest and sent to our trust & safety partners, never deducted from your payout. Standard Stripe processing fees (~2.9% + 30¢) go to Stripe, same as everywhere.
Pro is free any calendar month you don't get a single direct booking. We waive the $19 entirely. You only ever pay the Pro fee in months it actually earns its keep, so there's no risk in upgrading. (And the Free plan is always $0 regardless.)
